With the release of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, CMS finalized another mandatory innovation model called the Ambulatory Specialty Model (ASM) focused on specialists who treat traditional Medicare patients for heart failure or low back pain.

In my discussion with Luis Argueso, partner at InHealth Advisors, he sketched out what the impact might be for a cardiologist. What’s interesting to me is that it’s starting to look like real money— not life changing, but 7% of collections isn’t nothing.
