How do I make changes to my member account?

To make changes to your member account, click the Account button in the upper right hand corner to access Profile and Membership settings. Here you can update your name, email address, password, and credit card. You can cancel your membership under Membership or if you'd like to change from a monthly to annual plan, just let us know at hello@healthtechnerds.com.

How do I update my Member Directory Profile and/or HTN Preferences?

To make changes to your Member Directory Profile, please email us with the changes you'd like to make at hello@healthtechnerds.com and we'll take care of it for you.

How do I update my Slack profile?

You can update your Slack profile on a desktop via these instructions here. Alternatively, to update on mobile you just need to click into ‘You’ in the bottom-right corner of the screen, click ‘View Profile’, click ‘Edit Profile’, make any changes you need, and click ‘Save’.

What if I want to submit news for inclusion in your newsletter?

We’re happy to consider news for posting if you email it to hello@healthtechnerds.com. We can’t promise it’ll make it in the newsletter, but we will check it out and make a determination for inclusion.

What if our organization would like to pay for a package of seats for our company?

If you would like an Enterprise Seat package for your company, you can fill out this form and we’ll be back to you. We typically start enterprise seat packages at 10 seats.

How do I post a job?

There are a couple ways to post a job. To put it in front of the HTN community, you can go to the #jobs channel in the HTN slack and post away. If you would like to post a job for the broader HTN newsletter audience, you can go to the HTN Job Board here and pay for a Featured posting. Each week, we take the Featured postings and include them in the newsletter.

Where can I access the Member Directory?

You can check out the current list of our HTN Members here. You can easily search for members by various criteria, such as organization, location, interests, and more!

How can I request to create a new Slack channel?

You are more than welcome to request a new channel to be added to our Slack by filling out this New Channel Submission request form here.

What are Open Office Hours for and where can I sign up?

We (Kevin & Ryan) host office hours with 30-min time slots to talk career navigation, pitch deck review, company strategy, or really anything you want to talk about, within reason. We host Office Hours on Wednesdays from 10am - 12pm CT (Four 30 min slots). You can sign up via our Calendly here.

I’d love to host/sponsor an in-person HTN meet up, how do I go about that?

We love to get the Nerds together IRL for a local happy hour, working session, outdoor run, and more. If you want to chat about best practices or ask about generating broader awareness (e.g. your sponsoring an event and want us to highlight it), DM us or send us an email at hello@healthtechnerds.com.

How do I invite someone into the HTN Slack?

In order for someone to join the HTN slack they’ll need to sign up as a paid community member. The easiest way to invite them is to send them to the HTN website here. If you’d like to gift someone a membership, you can reach out to us at hello@healthtechnerds.com.

How do I get added back to the #htn_coffee_chats channel?

We know everyone is busy and it can be hard to stay on top of the biweekly HTN coffee chats, which is okay! However, the tool will automatically take you off if you haven’t responded to whether you met and/or if you’ve been on a few in a row where the other person said “no” we haven’t met. If you find yourself being removed, but would like to jump back into the conversation, then you can rejoin 1 of 2 ways:

  • We’ve had folks say it works to “reset” by leaving the channel then adding yourself back into it.
  • You might be able to “unpause” it by clicking on the actual app in the channel (see picture below - click on the Coffee mug and see if it allows you to reactivate getting the invites)
